So much has happened! I have neglected DA for some time, but now the MSc is finally over and Rich and I moved to our new flat, bought our sofas and toasters and god-knows-what-else we needed. Unfortunately this means I need to earn the monies!
I've got a few commissions on the go at the moment and I'm looking for jobs - some temp office work here and there, applied to work in an art shop, calling recruiters all over the place. Unfortunately I can't seem to find any Neuroscience jobs so goodness knows what I'm going to do! A PhD maybe? Is it weird that that would be the 'easy option'? I'm going to slowly become so over-educated and specialise

Hey everyone - good news!
So I finally quit my day job (I'm a Child Protection admin-y type person for a London borough - it is all kinds of depressing) - I'm going to be finishing my Masters in Neuroscience in September, and until then, I am going to be a fully-blown artist! (and neuroscientist, obviously)
It feels a bit weird taking the leap into being fully dependent on my art for income. I know it's going to be hard, and I am going to be quite poor. So many better artists keep other jobs going and wouldn't dream of going freelance like this, but I have no choice... I would hate to come out at the end of my Masters thinking that I didn't
